Toast, Tea and Twitter

November 29, 2010

What is it about Sunday mornings that makes them so blissful? Saturdays harness a more hectic vibe, often spent meeting friends or family, attending parties or doing some other energetic activity. Yet come Sunday morning I find myself splendidly tranquil, perfectly content to curl up on my couch with a pot of tea with the morning papers sprawled around me. I can leisurely peruse and sip for hours.

Toast is the perfect accompaniment to tea and papers. This past Sunday morning involved Dench wholegrain sourdough toast with natural peanut butter and cherry jam. We added a fruit salad and fresh watermelon juice and I moved from contented, past happy and into elation.

p.s. I now have a twitter account. Ben and some friends have said that I should get one. So now I have one. I’m not quite sure what to do with it, but I’ll figure it out soon. Please follow me if you have a twitter! Is that how it works?! Twitter link here.

I have a twitter account too.. I think, at least a friend set one up for me about two years ago but I've never used it myself! I don't really understand it to be honest!
Tea is the perfect remedy for everything isn't it? I try to finish every day with a good book and a cup of herbal tea in bed… so comforting!
That toast looks so delicious with all those grains!

I got onto twitter mainly because my boyfriend was on it and he and his friends used it as a bit of an alternative chatroom, I ended up constantly on stalking them and seeing what they would be chatting about and ended up making an account to join in the conversation. From there, it's ended up being an invaluable tool to keep up with all the food bloggers posts! 🙂 Just added you! I'm squeewubs. 😀

I do enjoy my sunday mornings as well, I always seem to have activities on the Saturday and Sunday's are for Brad and I to lay in bed all morning! 🙂

Yep,gotta agree with you Heidi, Sunday mornings are the best, the world feels quieter & its the one morning of the week where (it feels…, often not the case of course) that no one expects too much out of each other.
I've added you to my Twitter as well…,(I'm AnnaJ31) – it does seem to be the platform where the food bloggers do their chatting but I only pop on there a few times a week, I'm more of a facebook gal 🙂
