Moving Day Breakfast

So you know how I said we got the keys yesterday? Well I actually got them Monday.

For two days I’ve been ferrying boxes of jars and cups and other pretty breakables from my old rental to my new home. Clothes and food, too. We even moved a mattress my grandparents gave us (a Queen!!) and last night had ourselves a sleepover in the living room. We ate plates 0f orecchiette with broccoli and anchovies as we sat on our bed, drinking Campari from water glasses and watching True Detective on the computer.

Today we’re bringing in the big guns. I’m off to meet some dudes with a truck who are going to move our big pieces of furniture and help make this dream even more of a reality. I’ve had two cups of coffee. It’s on.

But first, breakfast. Our first breakfast in our new home.

    It’s funny how being busy, on the move, still gives us the craving to stop for some breakfast zen time. I took some spare minutes for oats in the office (deskfast) this morning before work got too busy

      Hehe, they were the most important cargo. & I so agree, those moments of zen allow us to become more productive during mad times x

    I am doing intermittent fasting (5:2 diet) and I have whizzed up a shake of apple, cucumber and spinach to have later today when the hunger pangs are troublesome. Yesterday I had peanut butter and honey on rye toast. You’ve reminded me of sour cherry jam x

      How’s 5:2 diet going, lady? Your pb & honey on rye sounds super yummy, as does that shake. I’d love to combine the two, toast + shake! x

    Spicy fruit toast sounds delicious! My favourite spicy fruit sourdough is baked by my friend Ed (Eds Bread) and it has pineapple or figs and walnut. Today for breakfast I had a soft boiled egg and walnut toast with a cup of black coffee eaten in bed. Heh.

    We just moved a week ago! It is so much work but totally worth being in a place you love.! Good luck with the move, how exciting!
