Because it really is ridiculously delicious peanut butter

I can’t find my tea towels.

They’re burried in some box, likely in our present “crap holding room”/future study, and I cannot for the life of me find them. I have one, which is incidentally my favourite because it’s pretty and white and red (colours that I, for some reason, favour in tea towels), but it’s getting a hard workout and will soon require a wash. My washing machine, Boris, is getting quite the workout too, as he churns through our sheets and towels, cleansing them of the damp that hung around our old house. Speaking of our old house, someone stole our two gas bottles from behind the shed, one of which was completely full. Who does that? Criminals, that’s who.

I can’t find my tea towels.

But you know what? It’s cool. I have this ridiculously delicious peanut butter to soothe my tea towel and stolen gas bottle worries, and it’s making my mornings (and middays and evenings) brighter and crunchier and generally more delicious. Ben and I (and my peanut butter mad father) are super grateful for being sent some jars of RD peanut butter to sample. Because it really is ridiculously delicious. I served a keen spread of this nutty butter on toasted sourdough bread with sliced banana for Wednesday Breakfast Club today, plus another slice of sourdough with avocado and cheddar cheese. I’m really on a toast bender of late. It’s so simple and simple is what I need during this move. On the weekend I fixed Ben and I a slice of toast each with RD peanut butter with banana and a drizzle of maple syrup. It was Ben’s first sample of RD peanut butter. He thought it was flipping scrumptious and now will not have any other peanut butter. He’s bossy like that. I can’t blame him.

But really, where the hell are my tea towels?

    I freakin’ love that peanut butter. You can only get it at certain places. My only beef is that it is a bit oily on top and dry at the end. So I have to do a bit o mixin’.

    That’s the funny thing about tea towels. We take them for granted until we don’t have them and then we realise they are the most valuable thing in the kitchen 🙂 Hope you found them and your breakfast looks delicious!

      Last night I found a box buried/squashed beneath boxes of books labelled “tea towels” and was SO happy x

    So the name really is true! I saw RD peanut butter in Melbourne on the weekend and now I’m wishing I bought some. I’d love some on toasted sourdough along with a slathering of raspberry jam. YUM.

    That’s so funny! I had taken two slices of sourdough on Wednesday to work with the intention of have one sweet, one savoury. But after forgetting my avocado (a sad moment) and realising I had more time (a happier moment), I decided to shout myself some Rhubarb + golde nut porridge at a local cafe as a payday treat. I almost laughed when I saw your #wednesdaybreakfastclub snap.

    My toast combination is:
    PB + Banana (sometimes with maple or honey)
    Avocado + Goats Cheese + Cherry Tomato.

    It’s even easier wrapped up in foil and eaten in the morning traffic if I want to catch a few extra winks. In fact…I might just do that tomorrow.

    I had porridge, we finally finished our last packet of instant oats and made real porridge for the first time (since mum used to make it for me at home), topped with berries and pure maple syrup mmmmmm. And oh my goodness, so happy to see there is a stockist of ridiculously delicious peanut butter just around the corner from me. Now to finish our giant tub of peanut butter so we can get some! Love their video 🙂

    I have finally and truly and unrelentingly fallen in love with quality bread (you can still keep supermarket paste-bread away from me though) and my breakfast of late has been Blackbird Baking Co’s grain-filled sourdough topped with melted butter (I like the bread fresh but the butter melted sometimes). I haven’t even reached for the peanut butter, such is the bread’s magic.

    But I will most certainly need to try this pb once home.

    I was introduced to RGPB by a friend and yes it’s one of the best PB’s out there. I also found out they are a small local business (10 mins away from my house in fact!) The key is giving the jar a good mix because the salt likes to make its way to the bottom
